While simple at first glance, a plate can be complex in both creation and concept. Join us for one night of throwing plates on the wheel. In this workshop you will learn tips and techniques to throw consistent plate forms in a variety of sizes, learn tips and tricks for altering shapes and rims, and talk about best practices for trimming and finishing plates in a variety of ways. Students will see demos on throwing and trimming, have some time to practice and ask questions and leave with new ideas to inspire future studio practice.
