apprenticeships

Apprentices are emerging studio artists who work 15 hours per week working and learning in the tile, pottery, and community studios in exchange for a community studio space, 18 hour studio access, access to firings, experience, knowledge, and critique. Outside of work hours apprentices are expected to be actively making their own work in the studio. Minimum time commitment is typically 12 months. Studio apprentices are not provided room or board, and usually take on a part time job to offset the high cost of living in Northern California. Applicants must be self-sufficient, exhibit an ability to work well with others, have a good studio work ethic, as well as a working knowledge of ceramic studio practices, and an interest in developing their career. We are not currently accepting applications.
